No one was more surprised than I was, that at the age of 72, I had a dream and big desire to start a power washing company in Michigan, for the 6 warm months of the year. I have always loved having a business, (I’ve had 4 separate part time businesses) but my career was 32 years of teaching Physical Education, Health, Marketing, and English as a Second Language. Many of my teaching skills transfer easily to business ownership. I love coaching. I know how to organize and prioritize my time and activities, and our team’s time and activities. I enjoy the selling process, which is teaching.
My passion is travel, but I also like to be in one spot for a while, about 6 months.Working and playing 6 and 6 suits me.
Teaching marketing and being a coach has given me a good background to begin something new. I love looking at the great work our team does, and I love to see their effort and desire to make the customer happy, as well as my own desire. This business has given me new intellectual and emotional stimulation to grow, not only as a company, but mostly as a person. I feel like I’m beginning a whole new phase of my life, and who knew it would make me so happy, and be so fun?
